    Default Morgan Wootten

I graduated from DeMatha High School in 2002. The last year Morgan coached. He was a legend. So glad to have him as a teacher and mentor.

Funeral is tomorrow. Here is a clip of some of his assistants over the years.

Also a poem he like to recite.

    God’s Hall of Fame

This crowd on earth they soon forget
    The heroes of the past,
They cheer like mad until you fall,
And that's how long you last
But God he never does forget,
And in His Hall of Fame,
By just believing in his Son,
    Inscribed you'll find your name

    RIP Coach

We followed those Dunbar/DeMatha battles from here way back in the 80s. Indeed a legend...

I didn't think I would see Coach Wooten mentioned here. It's a small world. Being around college basketball for the last 35 years and meeting a lot of player, both collegiate and professional, I heard a lot about Coach Wooten. Everyone that knew him respected him a lot, that was obvious. I received a text yesterday from John Mann, a friend originally from Illinois, now Atlanta that played at GaTech, informing me about coach's death. John graduated from tech in 1980 but had attended one of coach's camps year back.

Here's and interview with Danny Ferry About Coach Morgan
The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.
