JAB I was thinking you put in right there on the left run about 2 miles and turn right and in the big patch of pine trees make left and your in the honey hole
“… duckhunting stands alone as an outdoor discipline. It has a tang and spirit shared by no other sport—a philosophy compounded of sleet, the winnow of unseen wings, and the reeks of marsh mud and wet wool. No other sport has so many theories, legends, casehardened disciples and treasured memories.”
    --John Madson, The Mallard, 1960

The folks are very friendly too. Almost like being on the Canadian Prairie they are so friendly. When you get there and they crowd around your truck saying "A-yo honkey what chew think you doin" they really mean "Welcome,Sir. May I assist you in your quest for the elusive greenheaded mallard?" Have fun.

I've been out there at least twice a year since 1996. My advice is don't waste your time, go North and or farther West.

I think they've got a BIG ASS river out there. Maybe you could start there. Just follow the gun shots, ride up to look at their decoy spread, and then beat them back to that spot the next morning.

This is a widely known practice.
