Any of the Greenville people been keeping up with this? A.T. Tommy Smith may get an award for the dirtiest campaign I’ve ever seen.

Inquiring minds need to know. What's wrong with Smith?

I got this in the mail. Thought it was pretty damning, so I started reading. Apparently Smith totally made up that Hobart Lewis had an affair, went as far as naming the only female who was at the department at the time “Cindy B”. She went on Facebook and denied everything Smith said, she is apparently suing him for defamation. Lewis released the polygraph, and it showed 100% in his favor. Apparently Smith paid Fits News to run multiple stories. It’s pretty dang bad. All to be the sheriff.

Don’t have a dog in the fight for Greenville but I’m kind of curious as to how the Greenwood sheriffs race is going to play out.

We havent had a good sheriff since Dan Wideman. It was every week there was a big drug bust in town. One of them led all the way back to some arrests in the Mexican drug cartel.
