Default 2008 Avalanche full DOD delete

This vehicle has not had the AFM deleted electronically. Wiped out cam but not as bad as I’ve seen. Customer went full delete. LS 7 style cam and lifters, shorty headers and a mild lift cam. After we tune, it should have a nice beat.

Looks like a good reason not to have to drive an Avalanche anymore.

All that work and it will still look like an Avalanche.

Full delete is changing mechanical parts (lifters, cam, valley pan) to LS 7 style components and turning DOD off via software

Electronic is just disabling DOD via tune

Will those header blow gaskets like all other headers do?

Most of that is broken manifold bolts then the gasket burns out. If you’re talking about the common exhaust tick on those engines. If you’re talking old school headers, no the gaskets won’t blow.
