    Default Painting a boat trailer

Those of you who have painted a boat trailer what products do you suggest?
The trailer will be getting all new hardware, bunks, and led lights. New hubs and wheels and tires also. Just want to do this right and know you guys can be pretty useful.

My dad painted one with that hammered silver paint. It looks like galvanized and is holding up verr well

I was thinking about some kind of bed liner but not sure. I want it to be black and not a gloss type finish. This trailer will never see salt water as it’s for one of my smaller boats.

I bought a boat several years ago and the trailer had been painted in some sort of bed liner. I’m not sure what product he used, but it was very durable and looked good. Never had any issues with it.

herculiner is what I use for floors, I'm sure it would hold up on a trailer as long as the surface is prepped well

I spray all my trailers with U POL Raptor liner. My utility trailer is holding up to 7 years of rough hunt club roads. Boat trailer has held up to public WMA roads in Arkansas. Still looks like the day I sprayed it. Key is in your prep and primer coat. Stumpknocker will probably agree but your paint job is only as good as your prep work. Skimp on your prep and paint or liner won’t hold up very long.
