SC kill? I'm jealous. I've been with first timers multiple times that have shot Canada goose bands. My buddy kills 1-2 per year in his NC swamp, but all are banded in relative close proximity to where they died. I do my best to kill a few truckloads of the every year, but I've never gotten one.

Finished with an upstate 2 man limit. We’ve hunted this place for close to 20 years and this is the first time we ever limited out. 6 woodies, 4 green wings, 1 mallard, 1 black. Definitely a memorable huntE33734BE-C27A-4B54-A2CF-5BC19D33840D.jpg

Slow season for us in the beaver swamps with ALOT of new water around but scratched out a few decent hunts. Actually saw more consistent big ducks this year but never could get on the “X”!

Tuffy musta been looking out for me up there cause I didn't get but 3 groups come in and doubled on a drake and the hen from the first group, whiffed on the second group, then had a pair get up from where they landed behind me early and fly right over head. Picked off the drake to finish up my limit of woodies.

And that's a wrap.... for both the 19-20 season and my trusty Hodgman waders. Don't think I can repair the boot where that tear is, but I'm gonna try. Believe I got at least 6 or 7 seasons outta these. Time to go wader shopping I guess.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Told him not many folks could claim to have killed a limit of 3 Woodie drakes from 3 different public land beaver swamps in the same morning. First one dropped in the dekes and we turkey hunted the other two, called in across swamps. We've come to the conclusion that toting out a limit of woodies is about as satisfying as toting out a good tom.
