This is reported to be the largest PERMITTED 3D house ever built. It is 1,900sqft and took just eight days for every exterior and internal wall to be printed leaving on the roof and joist to complete to be dried in. This is the wave of the future in countries like Dubai where a lack of skilled builders and demand far exceeds the capacity for conventional methods. Imagine that, while this house was fairly conventional plan wise, the 3D printer has the ability to print things that are virtually impossible to build or previously imagine. Also, this tech could be used in places where the building season is so short that it would otherwise be impossible to stage enough framing during the building season. I was always fascinated by leave in foam poured concrete wall construction, but this clearly goes one step further. Is anyone aware of this being done around here? BTW, the article claims that only $6,000 of materials were used. MG
