That truck was a pavement princess.

I’ve heard mixed reviews about how they hold up in mud. I know a guy up North and he said the snow, ice, and salt doesn’t affect the operation of his.

    They aren’t cheap.

I liked the idea of the amps but wasn't sure of the sturdiness and having something mechanical like that is bound to have hiccups. I needed steps for the wife and kids to get in and out once KRT installed my lift. I liked and installed the factory raptor style that Toyota puts on a lot of their trucks now, but seeing how they attach to the rocker panel and not the frame I just wanted something stout enough that I never had a worry. I settled on a set of RCI sliders that bolt to the frame and I couldn't be happier.

In and out of the landfill and hunt club all the time mine occasionally get clogged and I have to clean them out and oil them several times a year

All of them suck if you get in a lot of mud. The only ones I’ve ever had that didn’t hold enough mud to plant corn on are the White Knuckler Rock Sliders on my LC, they just stay dirty.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I talked to a logger down in Georgia before buying a set. Said his ran well, and this from a guy who also tore up the def tank on his duramax.

They upped the warranty from 3-5 few years back. Read on the tundra forum that they also had great customer service.

It’s hard to find a step that drops as much as they do and are as useable. Other steps always seem kind of short on the tundra. Also does not help Toyota removed the oh shit handle on the drivers side. Sparks parts in Myrtle beach can fix that though.
