Not sure where you lost it, found it in the vicinity of this sign, that probably some asshat Yankee put up.
Obviously that's not a new sign. Looks like somebody is trying to prevent hunting by baiting......and if that's the case the SCDNR needs to make a case against the baiter,...….whether they ever planned to hunt or not. Baiting to prevent someone from hunting falls under the same baiting laws, imho.

Some people - I swear. I really like how these folks at the back of airport slough have run a line and buoys to keep other people from fishing in their docks.

Should put a load of steel shot directly in the center of the sign

What if baiting was legal? Would it make a difference?

Not sure why they put it up, the area has several houses close by and the boat ramp on Hwy 260 is 5mins away.

Probably not. Where that sign is, it is probably located within 200 yards of a residence.

    Agreed Catdaddy.

Wob, that would look good in the barn.

someone needs to sling an anchor over that bouy line and let her eat.
Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

Ease up to it and cast away. Had brush between two deep water docks on Hartwell years ago and an alien owned them both. After an encounter, he used the roping off strategy. We caught the hell out of em off it for a month and a half after. He’d come down a long set of steps and raise hell, we’d tell him to call someone as we wore them out. He finally quit coming down those steps.

I've got an old heavy box spring sunk on a rope around the dock. That's where I get my baits from.

They always have good bream beds there. At one point in time one of those houses had a sprinkler on the dock they would turn on if you tried to fish them.

Send me location. Can’t stand people who think they own the water.

I’d cut the rope with the quickness and keep on fishing.

If a landowner baits his impoundments that boats sit directly on the other side and posts the area as baited, is the landowner guilty of anything or are the guys on the river who choose to hunt outside his baited fields guilty of shooting ducks going to bait?

I don’t know why they put the sign up in this location, I imagine they think feeding the resident Canadian geese is helping wildlife.

Lake wylie used to hold a decent amount of ducks in the late 80s early 90s. I went with a buddy last winter just to go.there is a huge yellow sign on some ones dock warning of a baited area. A good amount of mallards in the cove right by the dock. I'm pretty sure whatever ducks that rarely do hit wylie, go straight to this place. I would think it would be illegal. It's just a shitty way to keep folks from killing ducks.

Those roped off docks and this sign are a 5-7 min boat ride apart. Lot of assholeness in a small area.

I’m disappointed in those of you who have seen this sign and aren’t displaying it in your garage.
