Had the same problem and replaced the filter and sensor, problem solved.
A bit of a pain to get to but an overall easy job.

What about low oil pressure cold at idle, but normal after driving 12 miles and then going back to idle?

He replaced sender and filter. Says filter was clean. Working as it should now. Also changed and filtered oil just for safe measure and it was clean of metal.

    Thanks!

If you changed that little filter screen in the back of the drivers side manifold under the sensor,
drive it, all is fine. Even if it shows low pressure
If I am not mistaken, that oil pump has a relief valve that dumps oil if too high a pressure and they get age and the relief valve faultily bleeds off oil pressure also.
If you have not let Kevin delete that AFM crap, you are playing with fire with the top end of your motor......and your wallet

Yep all better. AFM turned off by KRT. Says his butt dyno feels like KRT made it run a little better.
