Got a buddy that got an Excel Baypro 20' last year with a 150 Yamaha and that thing is the tits. The ride is extremely smooth for an aluminum boat, plenty of room inside the boat, and it moves pretty darn good with the 150. It has me wanting one but i think I would bump it up and get the 22'.
I've heard the Excel's have very bad issues with electrolysis in salt water. Can anybody confirm or deny with first hand experience?
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL
It's the same aluminum that every other boat manufacturer uses. If electrolysis is a problem, it is because of an electric current is finding its way through the metal. Biggest thing with aluminum boats and salt water is carpeted bunks. If they're not rinsed after being in salt, or better yet, changed out completely, you will have problems there.
