7mm-08

I’m at the point where less is more. The SAUM sounds cool, but if I can’t walk into a gun store in Loris, SC or Kaycee WY and get it off shelf, I don’t want it anymore. I fondled a Tikka that Sportmans Whse in Wilmington had on clearance and thought I’d give one a try. 7-08 was one on the calibers they had in stock. That’s exotic enough.

Agree. No need to be different just for different sake.

I don’t have any experience with the 7mm-08 but once I started shooting a .25-06 it became the only rifle I’ll ever need. Bought my wife a tikka T3 in .25-06 last year and she shoots it very well.

From 80 lb kids to 300 lb men. Stuff just dies and dies fast with it.

All that to be said I think the 7mm-08 is comparable and tikka is a nice rifle.

I’ve got an older wood stocked 700 ADL 25-06 and you’re right it kills like lightning. I don’t really need another rifle just thought the Tikka was nice and I don’t have a 7mm anything currently.
