Know of any used 1500 series Chevy/GMC crew cabs (gas) for sale that would get the KRT seal of approval?!
What happened to the 97, how many miles did you have on it?

I need to get mine turned off on a 17 Silverado. Also need a leveling kit. Front sits too low for my liking.

Get Kevin to delete it, I had the Ranger plug in thingy on another truck and it will drain your battery if you leave it plugged in when not driving.

I’ll know more tomorrow. The rollback will be here first thing to take it to the mechanic. I’m guessing the head gasket blew. Oil level is reading high, reservoir is empty, the drivers side valve cover is covered in oil. The other issue is a transmission/shifting issue.

It’s barely broken in with 281k miles.

A2Z - I have a 2018 GMC 6.2 that has 100K drivetrain warranty with about 20K showing. I have been driving it in 7th gear to keep it from going into the v4 mode. Only lose about 2 mpg. When the GM dealer changes my oil, would they be able to see the delete and would you recommend doing the delete and chance losing the warranty?

My delete leaves no footprint. Dealer will have no way to tell it’s turned off unless you bring it to their attention.

I would have turned it off 80k miles ago if it was me.

From a former GM Man for the past 30 years. Get a Dodge or Toyota and be done with it. Even a ford with the 5.0 is better than the current GM trucks. Only way I would get a GM truck is a one prior to '06, preferably '99-'06, or the mid '80's square body.

I told our local GM dealership that I was done with GM trucks until they get the AFM issue resolved. Head Mechanic there did tell me that they are looking at doing a redesign in '22-'24 on the AFM.

I hope they don’t resolve it.

We just put lifters in a 2017 with 72k miles.

They can’t meet emissions without AFM, and there will always be mechanical failure if you kill a cyl by dropping oil pressure to collapse a lifter.... always! I don’t care how they redesign it. They have 3 different revisions now and they all 3 have lifter or even worse, cam issues.

Easily resolved with a baffle and an air pump.

Get rid of all the AFM BS and install a baffle in the exhaust line. Vent to atmosphere prior to baffle and y in the line from the air pump after the baffle. Measure emissions post baffle. Problem solved.

The measurement in BAR or PSI?
