    Default Surprised my Wife tonight

Well my Chocolate lab died a month ago at 13 yrs old, back in the summer our 19yr old Boston Terrier had to be put down

Have to admit I We did enjoy for a short time not having to check on dogs or take them out every day but the 19yr old had become a handful due to her age.

We SWORE we would not get another dog anytime soon, honestly was planning on this spring after I got through tax season if at all(one time we had 2 chocolate labs and 3 house dogs which was WAY too much ). But it was killing me every time I walked by the back door expecting to see that big chocolate block head standing on porch looking through the door glass at me. Tougher than I thought it would be

I have always said my next dog would be a Boykin and had called about a few but just was not time. Last Friday it was pouring down rain so I did not go deer hunting and instead was killing the am while eating breakfast on craigslist looking at tractors . Just for poops n giggles I did a search for BS and low and behold a guy had 3 males left from a litter that was born 10/21/19 and he was local. Called him and went and took at look, he told me up front he was NOT a breeder, just had a male and female and while he was working out of town his life let them get together at the wrong time LOL.

Well one look and you can not say no. He called me this week and said final shots and Vet check ups and they are ready to go, had not said anything about this to my wife(only my daughter knew ) . 5 yr old grandson was spending the night with us last night so I had my Daughter call her Moma and tell her where they was a HUGE Christmas light display off Due West Hwy (middle of now where if you have never been there ) Even let our 5 yr old grandson in on it while his “Mimzy” was getting ready to go. She questioned me why we were going way out in middle of nowhere to see Christmas lights. Pulled up to the guys house (he did have his Christmas lights on for me lol) and told her he had a wagon to pull us to see lights . Well at this point she saw him sitting in his den with a 8 week old BS and had a fit, we got her REAL GOOD.

Just could not go without a dog around the house and she is on cloud 9 , she is NOT A morning person but already up checking on TILLMAN.

This is the expression on her face when she held him last night when we first got to guys house . still little bit in shock that I got her good

By way he slept great all night in a small pet carrier we already had and is doing great this am

Good looking pup! And congrats on jumping back in. A house is just not a home without a dog in it.
He is about to unleash hell, but you will love him just the same.

The only remedy for the grief of losing a dog is puppy breath.
