    It sounds like a good idea to me. Shorter corn would not only allow fertilizing/pesticide application later into the growth cycle and without a highboy but it also might not get blown over by our inevitable fall hurricane. I wonder how differently it might be affected by critter/insect depredation?

    We might be able to hunt deer in standing corn fields, not just around the edges.

    havent we been here before with "tropical corn" that everyone wanted to try years ago???

    My tropical corn grew the same height as regular corn. The advantage was a later planting date.
