Fish, honest question. You comfortable with the dual axle trailer supporting the load with only 4 tires on the dirt? I've seen both dual & tri-axle trailers under these boats, and understand that the trailer can handle the load fine, just didn't know if there was a noticeable difference in blown tires. I'd think the extra axle would help, but I'm no expert, then you also have to consider the extra rubber you're wearing out.

No. That trailer was built for a 29 Seavee. The boat and trailer were put on a lowboy for transport. That boat will probably be kept in the water at IOP.

I realize I'm not Fish, but I would opt for two over three axles at any time if properly set up and weight capable. My last boat weighed in at 14,250 on the slings without 340 gallons of fuel. I specifically searched out a tandem trailer with 8750# 8 lug axles for several reasons. It had 16" rims that allowed me to run 235/85/16 10 ply tires and the tandem axle trailer is considerably more maneuverable than a triple. When making sharp turns, watch the lead and trailing tires....they look like they are about to pop the bead and wear prematurely as a result. Trailer was properly setup and towed/pulled like a champ. A previous big boat I owned, came with a triple axle trailer under her that was nothing but problems. The smaller diameter trailer tires found on 5k or 6k pound axles just don't hold up to the heat of long runs south like the larger 16" 10 plys do.

Right. Also marsh carp. Which is a new one for me. Possibly the doucheyest of them all.

Ehh, no. Mahi takes the prize. Speaking of prizes, do we have an award winner?
