Bullet proof. I fished on a 25T for a few years. The owner was/is a Trainwreck and I haven't been in it in two years. Beautiful boat fish. What size motors?

    Haha @ Willk

I liked the mako alot, other than the hard top was only built exactly 6 and a half foot high

Lots of potential in that ride...see where somebody used that as a tender?

Obviously, something as basic as curtains would come before the Furuno radar. And towing the boat for eight hours at 70 mph is hard on soft goods. Or has “running” your own 31 taught you nothing in eight years?

Will, those are 250s. I’m pretty sure a pair of Suzuki 350s are in progress.

The boat was tied up in Elbow before the storm and on the trailer in Hobe Sound ever since. It’s dirty.

A buddy of mine runs a 31' Contender. Great ride but the wettest boat I've ever been on. A set of Grundens will be your friend.

    An unsolicited opinion...YMMV.

I have spent significant time on the wheel of a 31 that was repowered with 300s and have run one with 350 Yamahas(granted they are 50 lbs heavier than the Suzuki 350s) on a couple of occasions. The 350s had transom wedges installed, upgraded K-Planes, and full coffin box and I still could not make it run like I wanted it to. Tabs were basically maxxed out with little to no tab left, 4 blade lift props, and the bow didn't want to come down where I wanted it to. 300's are a combined 400+ lbs less hanging off the back and felt like a perfect match for the hull. Increased cruise, economy, and ride quality over the 250s and a better ride than the 350s.

Just an unbiased opinion on a hull I don't own....

I've shot flying fish off the bow of a boat and can honestly say it would be worth adding a special platform for it. We justified it as a sporting way to chum while trolling. I recommend #6 high brass.

I've heard this exact same thing from a friend of mine that runs one out of Edenton, NC.

The 4.2 300s are a pretty great motor for the 31.

I haven't seen or run one with the Suzuki 350s, what performance are you expecting?

    Congrats on the new sled!

If you bag of bitches would invite your trolling crew along as well, we very well could have wahoo/tuna sashimi as well...I also heard the hogs are hungry, some fool caught a few on a rod and reel
