Hahahaha. My first though when i saw the pic. That and some Advil for the lower back will go a long ways, but clearly fish has it all figured out...

In all honesty, I would settle for the 300's vs the 350's. How fast do you really need to go? Without curtains and scuba gear you will get washed straight out of that one riding anything over about 35 knts.... But hell, your money burn it how you see fit. And congrats on finally being a boat owner....

How many hours on the 250’s? Unless there’s dry exhaust corrosion, they’re pretty bulletproof engines.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I specifically searched out a tandem trailer with 8750# 8 lug axles for several reasons. It had 16" rims that allowed me to run 235/85/16 10 ply tires and the tandem axle trailer is considerably more maneuverable than a triple. When making sharp turns, watch the lead and trailing tires....they look like they are about to pop the bead and wear prematurely as a result. Trailer was properly setup and towed/pulled like a champ. A previous big boat I owned, came with a triple axle trailer under her that was nothing but problems. The smaller diameter trailer tires found on 5k or 6k pound axles just don't hold up to the heat of long runs south like the larger 16" 10 plys do.
Sorry I missed your response earlier man. Thanks for both of your inputs, you & Fish. At some point in the next few years I will be upgrading to boat owner of a 28-31’ offshore boat rather than simply depending on my boat owning buddies to decide they want to go fishing. The trailer won’t always be a necessity for me, but if I want to make a run with it somewhere, I want to have the right setup.

Love the contender. Prior to this past dolphin run, that identical rig was a regular weekend ride for me. I got spoiled this year with a fishing buddy upgrading to a 37’ freeman, but I know where my roots are.
