    Default So. IL

Just got back. Spent some time with family and hunted a few days. Mallards were thick at times. Got my buddy fired back up with a limit on Sunday. His first duck hunt of the year. Enjoyed two solo hunts. The 4th never comes easy for me. Lots of high flyers yesterday! Had to get back today for work tomorrow.

Needed KRTs help. Transmission failed on Friday PM, but got in several more hunts because of the it. Headed back next week to pick the truck up. Thank God for a good family to lend me a huntin van with 264,xxx miles on it ( full of all kinds of sh...it) and my sisters loaded Edge was nice to travel in today.

Good luck to all in the am! I'll be working...

Walkins look good this year. Sometimes I miss being there

“… duckhunting stands alone as an outdoor discipline. It has a tang and spirit shared by no other sport—a philosophy compounded of sleet, the winnow of unseen wings, and the reeks of marsh mud and wet wool. No other sport has so many theories, legends, casehardened disciples and treasured memories.”

Still a ton north. I'll be back twice in the next two weeks. Hopefully it'll keep building numbers.

Your not missing much. It was nice without all the usual skybusters! Four trucks was the most I seen in five hunts
