    Default Vortex strike eagle

Anyone have any experience with these scopes- it seems like it would be a good match for my short range rifles

What do you want from your scope? Some SF guys used some of them on deployments to Afghanistan and Vortex has a great warranty, so from a durability standpoint I’d think they’d be alright.

They seem to be pretty good for the price, I have one on a rifle that lives under the seat of the truck when it's not beating around on a tractor. It's still holding zero after a couple years.

Theyre ok for the price. Illunination at its lowest setting is too bright considering its lack in light transmission. It washes out what little you can see at last light. Ive got one on a knockabout AR in 7.62 for shooting deer in my short range stands. If I were to buy another I would compare with others first.

Ive got a 1-8 on a 3 gun rifle. It’s worth about what you pay for it. Not a POS, but not great.
