VG--you're just looking for validation of your most desirable outcome. You'll keep asking for opinions until you get the one you want.

The truth is no one on here knows a daggumn thing about that deer. Nor do you. So, you can continue to worry about it or not. Your choice.

i'm not being an ass. I'm being honest. No one else seems to have that desire...

I’m SURE it was just a flesh wound at worst, and he will be fine. Probably a clean miss, and he was just bleeding from the Big Buck Fight he had just won to woo his love interest. He will be back next year, same bat time, same bat channel and will have added another 20 inches or do. Don’t worry about it no mo. It’s all good.

I say alive and well. Between being shot and all the traffic in his core area, you have pushed him out.

    He will be back

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is,
as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

I had a friend that shot one last week and didn't get much blood. He waited a few hours, went back, and bumped the deer. The next morning he stripped searched and finally located him in a blow down with his head up. He slipped up and finished the deer off.
Both the deers ham's had been eaten by coyotes.
