    KRT,

Congratulations on the success of your business. Cool to see people rewarded for doing things the right way.

How long do you anticipate this project taking to complete? Are you able to work on it exclusively? And if you don't mind my asking, what's the total ticket amount?

    Nice Kevin.

Did you grade your new bays behind your current shop?

Thank you. We have built a great reputation and it solely revolves on treating people fair. 2019 will be my best year. It took me 6 years to build and put together the crew I now have and the equipment plus diagnostics (scanners etc). If you look at our years in form of a bar graph from 2013, it looks like a stairway. We are probably going to level off after this year unless we expand. As far as completion, this is kind of a after hours project because of space, etc. The new building will help if we make it solely a custom shop. I’m going to use the shop at my house for the 1935 Chevy coupe project. I think the LS stuff is going to take off. My pm box is full and this is really the only place I’ve marketed this project so far. I have some other issues that have came into play that also will alter this project. There are 3 of us doing the CJ-7. I have a huge hand in this project along with the others already signed up. I’m thinking a 2nd custom shop will be a must which will help speed things up. When it’s done I can give a figure. Keep in mind custom stuff is expensive. Just ask Richard Rawlings

So the fenced in area everyone sees is deceiving. We have 3 acres behind us that we have graded and added millings. It houses anywhere from 20 to 40 cars at a time to be worked on. We have already added two bays on the back side. We cleared another acre a few weeks ago. Fixing to pour a 30 x 30 pad and enclose it. That will give me another 2 bays. If Mudnut1970 invest I’m going to move up to #1 and build a main shop by the rd and just use what’s existing for “projects”. Who knows maybe a paint and body shop. For the time being 2 more bays to hold me over.

Maybe name the custom side 803 Kustoms/ 803 Customs

Saw this dump in Charlotte last weekend and thought of you. Better put a cease and desist on them before they ruin your good image.

    Following this
For the last month, I have been looking an early 80s CJ7 with the 350 conversion that I could do a nice thumper cam / heads in.
The end game I envision would be something like this.

Got the transplant engine tore down, cam is out, heads sent off to be checked. I’ll post pics as we freshen the donor LS up before install.

Thanks for sharing, following the cam piece.
Have you decided on the cam manufacturer / lift and duration?
My Dad had a 67 Camaro SS that the front end would jump every time the thing turned over idling.
Heavy thump cams demand respect from those that know what they are listening to
