Stock LM7 has almost 300 HP at 5800 RPM

The heads have been milled to 220 cc intake and 85 cc exhaust, all new valves, springs, lifters and rockers. Topped with a good cam and tuning. 450 is easily achievable. I doubt we turn it up too much with a stock bottom end.

High rise intake and bigger injectors just adds more oxygen and fuel to the fire.

Not sure if you ole timers can tune a q-jet or a holley to get good clean and lean fuel curve from 2500 to 5800 rpm band to lay down some good numbers at the rear tires.

What's the fun in that if you don't smell like gasoline when you get where you're going?

    Inside the frame headers...

Kevin what's the exhaust plan? Turndowns at rear axle? Had side pipes on one of my old Jeeps(equipped with the previous owners non-clean burning Holley and an oversized cam) and lord-a-mercy at the fumes would roll into the cab going down the highway. I'da failed a sobriety test for sure on the way TO the bar...swore I'd never own another Jeep with sidepipes.

    Looks outstanding!

I agree with not smelling like fuel. I was making a jab at ECU. I grew up with a 350 I built and a Holley 4 barrel. I remember having to change the oil every 3k miles because of fuel in the crankcase. I’m looking for another CJ now. I may run a 5.7 in it with the Holley EFI system. I just can’t get away from tuning an LS at the moment though.

So exhaust has to run down pass side and under oil pan and tie in with drivers side due to clearance. I’m thinking of running two into one and doing an axle dump. I’m now looking at exhaust benders so I don’t have to sub out exhaust. They are high as giraffe pussy though. But as long as the economy doesn’t tank I think the LS craze will only grow and so will the need for custom exhaust.

I’m sure that once I get around to doing something cool with the donkey you will have it figured out. The exhaust bender that is.

Let’s put a Coyote 5.0 in it. You can hang out and hand out the beers.

I’m going to burn up some exhaust pipe learning that’s for sure.

This “gas” thing is all new to me.

I’ll start pinching pennies now. Little Guy needs something to drive in 16 years, right?

Just an idea of what the truck market is doing. It’s a 1000.00 to have a vehicle shipped to or from California.

Everyone thought Richard Rawlings was crazy. Now he’s doing C10’s, square body’s, and OBS’s

    https://hotroddirtys.com/for-sale-inventory

First one on list is a 84 square body for 35k.

were you able to buy exact motor mounts for the swap?
Also, how hard was aligning it with crossmembers, etc. a lot of custom work?

LS and custom go hand in hand.

Company called Novak had the engine mounts. They still had to be measured twice and welded once.

Cross member moved with the 5 speed trans

The 4wd transfer case selector shift won’t go in the original body hole, but a torch to heat it up and bend it a tad worked magic. Sprayed back with black paint to hide the heat marks.

Sometimes you just have to hear it run... got to dress up wiring, and add the power brakes. I bought an exhaust bender that will be here by the end of the week. I’ll run exhaust then.

    Love that cam!
    Yup, he's crazy...

like a fox. The dude may be coming in a little too hard and crazy but 90% of everything he says is correct.

Sort of like Toof. But way smarter.
