My parent’s neighbors called me about some beaver issues. I’ve always had a thing for those smelly things. D2BC3392-27B8-459A-9514-FDAE530EDC76.jpg

First time using the Conibear traps for them. Both from this week. My three year old tells everyone who will listen about the beavers.

Yes, yes he will. The little fella has a walking stick that beavers have chewed on both ends, cutest thing you will ever see is him walking to the swamp with it.
I think it may actually be in his hand in this pic

Yep, that’s the same stick. His new favorite thing to tote around.

That’s good stuff, good to see kids getting involved in trapping and having fun in general outdoors!

Just lucky I guess. Live PD had a re-run and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. I almost posted it in the “America” thread but thought this might be more fitting.

How long is your trap line, and how many have you killed this season?

How much money do you have invested in trapping equipment and supplies...??

How much time and vehicle expense do you spend running a trap line...??

Ok. I’m all for the complete destruction goin of the coyote population by any means necessary, but I have a question.
Do you guys trap the yotes do it for financial gain, as a public service, or just because you like to trap or is it all of the above? I’m all for it , just curious as to the motivation if it’s expensive to do.

I enjoy out smarting them, that’s pretty much it. Every bit of money I get, small amount at that buys more traps, bait, supplies, gas and repairs. There isn’t a soul making a living off live market trapping other than a few professional trappers that do it year round. It’s also a good incentive to keep people trapping in a poor fur market. If live market trapping ended tomorrow I’d still trap just as much and hard, it’s something my family and I enjoy doing. For those clueless, live market season is only from Dec 1 to March 1, after that it’s depredation trapping only.
