    Default Moose hunt.

I'm starting to get a game plan for fall 2020. I'm looking for a good moose outfitter. Canada, Alaska, Newfoundland. Anyone with some experience let me know who you recommend.

I hunted with Westwood Outfitters in New Foundland. They’re mostly a numbers camp, shooting the first legal animal they see whether it’s a cow or a spike. They will work with you if you want a bigger animal. I did, and they placed me with a guide who usually gets larger moose, and will put some serious boot miles in.

I’ll likely go back with them for moose, or possibly caribou.

I can probly get you a contact in Maine. There is a guy who guides moose hunts up there that works at my buddy's bear camp

The only problem with Maine is the draw odds are pretty tough from what I've been told.

40 Mile Air in Tok, AK if you are looking for a fly-in, do it yourself hunt. They will put you amongst moose. They have very good hunt areas and are great folks. But, you will need to call them ASAP and find out when they start booking because they sell out of hunts VERY quickly.

Ok...I just looked, and they have a websight that tells you the booking times(coming up soon) in the hunting section. They didn't have a websight when I hunted with them because there was no such thing as the interwebs. LOL
My FIL has hunted with them every year for a VERY long time and I have been 3 times. Great operation.

Crops are harvested, animals are killed.

Moose are like skeeters in Saskatchewan these days. You need a "guide" like you need herpes.

Go, run one over, shoot one, whatever. They are tasty...

I can put you in touch with someone in Alaska if you’re interested. He’s not a guide, but has enough outdoors contacts that he could put you on a few.

I hunted Ontario in 2013. I killed a decent moose. I shot the first bull I saw, but there are some better ones there. Price wasn’t too Bad.
