    Default Hen

I've killed plenty of ringnecks in my short time on Earth, but I've never killed one that was this dark. When I picked her up I was scratching my head. Looks very redheadish, but definitely not big enough to be a redhead and the bill says ringneck all day. Any of y'all ever see one this dark?

How big was that one compared to the others?

I’m assuming you killed more than that one on the hunt.

Negative only the one on this particular hunt. It was with a group of 15 or so greenwings and it peeled off and gave me my only opportunity at the group.

Oh well.... really didn’t need to know. That’s not a Ringneck Hen.

    It’s a Redhead Hen

Congratulations! That’s a fine specimen for a RH hen!

Idk if there that many with a badge that could tell the difference so it may not have mattered

    I'm pretty sure that's a hen ring-necked duck.
