Oh man did the birds come down today.my local pond has at least 500 ringnecks compared to about a hundred last week.yall seeing any good numbers?
I have 10 acres of water with corn jap millet Egyptian wheat and chufas and oak trees dropping acorns....checked them this afternoon....1 pair of wood ducks....nothing else....ponds have been flooded for a month now....it is very sad
When in doubt, shoot him again!
Work like it's all up to me, but pray, like it's all up to him!
I saw 6 mallards today at the lake. That’s four more than last week
A lot more woodducks around
Less birds today than I had had last week...and didn’t have much then.
I didn’t go today.

They are back today
The term "split" irritates me...and im irritated im not hunting today
What should we call it
Teal season, first season, second season...a split should be the time period between seasons, but not everyone uses it that way. Its not a big deal, im just wishing i was cleaning ducks right now
Long split is the dreaded time between February and Sept?
Had some birds hanging around after we hunted before thanksgiving, but they packed their bags and left.
Will see whats happening in AM.
As soon as the deer feeder comes down. They walk up to it eat some big buck corn.
2 greenwings lit and died. 7 spooners lit and 5 died. Lost a wigeon and a grey duck. Finally got tired after the 30th scissor face lit perfectly so I filled my Mergie tag . Lots of birds but not many were willing to work. They were high and riding the wind. 2 blue wings snuck in on us while we were working birds behind us and flushed them after those birds decided it wasnt worth the effort.
