I will be glad to deliver supplies we can muster up from the Pee Dee and Columbia areas.

I think it would be an awesome Christmas gesture if we could raise enough money to get him in a rental/trailer/hotel for six months or so while he gets back on his feet.

Not 100% sure. Just met the man on Friday and found out yesterday around 1 that he is homeless. Going back out there this evening to spend a little time with him and see what I can find out.

Being familiar with a similar situation, if he is not able to shower/clean up at work, unscented baby wipes are a huge help and extremely appreciated along with baking soda (can be brushed through his hair to clean it)
toothbrush/ toothpaste, deodorant, hair brush and a bag/ backpack so he can carry with him.

Thanks Man! I picked him up a book bag, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hand sanitizer, several packs of baby wipes, and case of water yesterday. Any thing else you can think of let me know.

Would it be possible to get this man a camper or van of some sort? Does he have a license? Would he be able to find a place to park it. There are several buses on go deals that could be had cheap. Renting a house for some one is very difficult now a days. If you dont have a good credit rating most rental companies wont help you.

what fast joint joints does he pass during the day? gift card
dry snacks and make sure cans have pop lid
does he have and rely on a phone?...card with minutes?
zip lock bags are good to keep things dry....even a sleeve of grocery bags work good
dull colored tarps can help hide things and keep em dry
peanut butter goes a long way
poncho, lots of socks, hygiene items
would he use an old bicycle?

Yall are going to raise $1,500 dollars worth of camping gear. That would get you 4 months rent in Spartanburg....

There are several local charities that offer affordable/free housing to homeless folks. United Housing Connections is one off the top of my head. If he needs anything sleep related please let me know.

I agree. I don’t think this guys goal would be to have a sweet camping setup. I would imagine helping him find a home is the most useful thing “we” can do for him.
