    Default I have no words.....

I may just stop picking on y’all now. I was certain that it was satire when I first read it, but apparently not. Can we go ahead and draw up an extension for Caslen while y’all are giving Boom and Tanner a raise? #facepalm

I read the article as well as some of the comments he's made in the past. I'm still trying to figure out how Caslen became a general. He seems to lack some of the basic leadership qualities.

I read he is saying fake news, that he did not ask.

Now Caslen is saying he didn't say what he said. He should sue the reporter who incorrectly quoted him.

Nov 18, 2019 10:31 PM EST Cam Gaskins
COLUMBIA, S.C. — This morning an article appeared in the Florence Morning News that claimed University of South Carolina president Bob Caslen said Athletics Director Ray Tanner reached out to officials at Florida State University to ask about how they handled Willie Taggart’s buyout when he was fired on Nov. 3.

President Caslen released the following statement this evening with regards to that article:

“Let me set the record straight: Athletics Director Ray Tanner did not speak with anyone at Florida State University about coaching contracts.”

This statement comes just three days after Tanner released his own statement in support of Will Muschamp as the head football coach of the Gamecocks.

Sakkerliner fans should bring a load of firewood in lieu of tickets in a few weeks. That way after the game they can just burn the whole place down. This might be a bigger shit show than FSU.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

The Florence paper says they have listened to the recording and stand by what they initially reported.

If true, forget the fact Caslen achieved the rank of general. I want to know how he was appointed to West Point and how he moved past the rank of lieutenant.

I don't think Caslen would lie about it.
Now on the other hand, I could see Tanner doing it and not telling him.
Tanner is looking for a way out of this heat lamp on him.

I never thought it possible, but Caslon and Tanner have made Muschamp look like the most competent person in the UofSC athletic department.

SC has bigger then issues than football. Board members are wrangling with prez over power. Board members are holding no confidence votes and the governor made them hire his selection for president.

Board members and Presidents should not be doing sports talk programs.

SPOT ON. This has been the problem with U5C for years. Problem is being located in downtown Columbia where every POS politician thinks they should run the school.
