After having nothing but 2 strokes for my entire life, I have purchased a new 4 stroke Yamaha 20 to replace my 20 yr old Yamaha 25 2 stroke on a 14 ft MonArk. I haven't even picked it up.
What differences in performance should I expect?

You won’t have to mix your gas now.
You’ll be impressed.

You now own a green jeans sneak machine
all of the above and probably a little heavier
Switched from a 25 Yamaha 2 stroke to a 25 Yamaha 4 stroke last year and was surprised by the performance. The only reason I would go back is for the nostalgia .
Did you get electric or pull start? They put on the major push to get me to go electric, but I didn't want to deal with a battery. He even used the old "you ain't getting any younger" pitch. I figured that when I can't pull start a Jonboat motor, it'll be time to hang it up, anyway.

You'll be able to hunt a bunch off of 6 gallons of gas
I run a 2011 20hp 4-stroke Yamaha- I love it - I get 2.5 times the fuel economy of my old 15 hp 2-stroke. Getting the right prop for a 4-stroke matters more than it did with a two stroke. I run about 28 miles an hour on a 1436 with me and a couple of dozen decoys
