I have a Benelli SBE 3 and its a fine weapon, will do anything you want that requires a shotgun and will last you the rest of your life if you take care of it.
I have a Beretta A400 and it just fits me a tad better but I can roll with either of them
    Nice gun!

    Finally you got a shotgun.

Please don’t start a thread on what shells to buy.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Don't be ridiculous. But he does need to know what fancy choke he needs to buy.

The three that came with it won't suffice?

Doesn't really matter that much now, but what about a gun's rib? What are the pro's and cons of a raised rib versus whatever other option(s) are out there?

It gives an unobstructed view as well as a flat sighting plane for the shooter. It may also reduce glare from the barrel. Since i have always shot a raised rib i do not shoot a plain barrel as well however those shooting a plain barrel shoot them just as well as those with ribs.

All personal preference. I prefer a very low rib, some like no rib, some like a higher rib.

This is why everyone advised to go shoot different guns and see which one you shot best.

A raised rib is a benefit when shooting rising targets. You'll be able to see those type of targets sooner than say a flat rib. So if you shoot more of a maintained method, you'll be able to start your move a bit sooner with a raised rib. If you use swing thru then a flat rib might be better.

    I prefer a raised rib.

The is so much involved in gun set up. Rib style and height is one variable in a long (and changing) equation.

I am imagining you bought a camouflaged automatic. That’s a box full of average length, drop, and cast, all wrapped up in heybo marketing. If you don’t think about that, you’ll probably be content. Might even hit some birds. The less questions you ask, the happier you’ll be.
