That was more fun than opening day in my opinion. Thanks for always being willing to let the boy tag along.

I love second and third season shoots. Something about flocks of 25-30 birds.

No shit! Those September hunts are nothing short of death defying. I'm careful to look after my dog but this year I had one of my guests almost monkey in the heat.

Give me a good late season barn burner with blustery 20 kt winds with only the very dedicated, hard core club members that stick it out all season.

    That's awesome.

I wanted to go bad on Saturday, but the rain wouldn't let up long enough. Unfortunately our club only does Saturday shoots. The only way I was going is with my daughter and dragging her out in that mess just wasn't hapnin.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

I was trying to find a kid all week last week!
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.
