Hunting all day tomorrow and saturday morning by myself. Saturday afternoon daughter #1 (8 years old) is coming down. She says she on the gun for her first. We shall see about that. Hoping we can talk momma into letting us sneak away Monday also since its fall break from school. They should move great the next few days. My question is what kind of areas do yall like to hunt on a big cold snap after days of rain and high winds. I will be looking over a big cut over on the edge of planted pines that have been thinned.

Going Saturday morning Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon
“Duck hunting gives a man a chance to see the loneliest places …blinds washed by a rolling surf, blue and gold autumn marshes, …a rice field in the rain, flooded pin-oak forests or any remote river delta. In duck hunting the scene is as important as the shooting.” ~ Erwin Bauer, The Duck Hunter’s Bible, 1965

38 in Ridgeway. Seen 2 eights, a 7, and a handful of does.
