Limited out on trout in 15 minutes a few days ago.
    The smallest was 4lbs
All on C27 mirrolures, no need to fool with live bait.
Move up from the MR17 to the C27MR and you will catch the bigger trout.
The C in front means it has clear eyes and not the traditional red eyes

This is the C27MR the one you want but you cant get it.
You can get it in MR17 and you should, but I doubt you find it in C27MR
I buy 60 at the time, special run by Mirrolure on request by a good friend at the factory in Fla.

Use artificials with any color, jig head hook, cast into current and slow your retrieve on cold days. Shouldnt have a problem catching a bunch.

All we had to do was drop your dead weight and Gene and his boy had no problem paddling them yesterday. Every cast for 3 hrs.

Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Thanks for the tips, I went ahead and picked some extra plastic shrimp because I was out. But I will look into those MR17s for next outing. it’s gonna be a cold day tomorrow!
Hopefully I’ll have a picture or two to post.

above what Tom said is dead on. He put us on the mother load and damn it was fun. That was about a good a Veterans Day as I remember in a long time.

Props to Capt Tom. Was one Helluva bite and those tagged fish were a nice bonus.

Do y’all find any particular type of area is better than others in the winter ? Jetties, back creeks, open inlet?

My wintertime focus is sight fishing in tight back creeks and mud flats all based around low tide.

^ what he said. If there is a mud flat with 2' to 3' of water on it at high tide next to it even better.
