    Default Favorite Holiday Dish

So I've been saving a pecan pie in my freezer since about Easter. I have to save pecan pies because, quite frankly, I have to pace myself. People know that I like them so much that I have received them as birthday and Christmas presents. I've even been known to take down a whole pie in a day and I'm not ashamed of it either.

So since the holiday season is coming up, what's that favorite dessert/dish you are looking forward to?

    Oyster pie.

If I found myself in Mongolia during Thanksgiving, I would expect some wad of old chewing gum looking woman to step out of a yurt with a plate full...

Giblet gravy. Butter beans and dark meat fried turkey, over rice, smothered with that is the 8th wonder of the world.

I have a couple, but if there's no canned cranberry sauce just oozed from the can and cut up hastily I won't be satisfied.

My favorite thing about Thanksgiving is the left-over turkey sammiches. My Grandpa taught me how to make them many years ago.

But I'm a sucker for a good fruitcake.

Simple has a fruitcake recipe that is out of this world.

I’ve been watching the Great British Baking show with significant other (counts as quality time together) and those Brits love putting fruit in everything

    Beat me to it.

When I think of Thanksgiving I think of ducks, doves, and cranberry sauce.

Real quality time isn’t to be discussed in a public forum.
