Default A Carolina Boy and Vandemore

Russell’s come a long way from hunting scoters out in front of Sullivan’s or the Shipping Channel.

The video is well worth any waterfowler’s time.

Russell went for his first St. Paul trip a year or two after I went (New Years ‘10), and has been helping guide with Charlie ever since. Heard several guys say Russell looks at the weather and water and knows where to be before the Kings know where they will be going to that day. It’s a very unique trip.

I heard it mentioned Tony played minor league baseball for a while, but saw no mention of what ended his career. Anyone know what happened there?

I go to Alaska for 2 weeks early December, and I'm hoping to get on some kinda fowl while I'm there. I think something like this would be pretty cool.

Get ready to pull your wallet out. I love killing ducks, especially in unique places, but I haven't been able to make myself spend $5,000+ (closer to $8k when you factor in travel, taxidermy, etc) for a duck hunt when I could put that towards an elk, mule deer, moose, or other big game hunt.

If Cajuns lived in Alaska there wouldn't be any Kings left.
