    That is punishment. It's been several years since I've tried my patience like that with ringnecks.. their skin's only benefit is creating a useful guard/buffer to run your knife down while you're breasting them out. It's like trying to filet a spadefish..

    I Luv shooting Pintails, Ruddy shelduck 7 bar headed....... The way they circle & decoy... Its fun.

    As far as eating is concerned, i prefer sending gifts rather eating lol....Black francolin is my fav.

    Add me to the list of widgeon lovers. I've killed all the North American species of ducks with the exception of the king eider and common eider (will be chasing that last one this year). With that said, I could never get tired of watching widgeon pour into the decoys. They way they will drop from 1000 feet straight down into a spread on blue bird days is what makes them my favorite!

    Now on the other hand, when it comes to eating birds, I'll take Green Winged Teal every time!

    Mallards don't do a thing for me. I've shot piles of them over the years and while they make for a decent picture I'd rather have the variety that comes with hunting the salt marsh!
    Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL
