Hmm. Let's break this down.
SC is not a waterfowl destination. It actually takes a great deal of work to attract ducks. Many of the Cat Is are historically significant areas (for SC). We can certainly argue the relative merits of each locations manager. Some are better than others. Such is life. But to say "I hate what it has become" sure does strike me as odd. SC duck hunting? Or SC duck hunters? You realize some of these people have no other decent options. I think what you need to be working for is private landowners but I bet you wouldnt understand....

So, continue bitching or dont sign up. Its that simple.

2th you do understand that the Atlantic flyway was very highly regarded in duck hunting lore! Look I’m not going to get in a pissing contest with you. Santee coastal reserve was and still is a beautiful place that attracts a lot of ducks. Bottom line is I love it and I want to be able to spend more time their. If you are a duck hunter you should love it too and want to spend more time their!

Look forward to putting a face with the call sign my man. My old pops and old black dog will be tagging along as well. Will probably be the last draw hunt that either get to go on (73 and 9). Dad was in good standing with the old santee gun club from back in the days, and we've been on a few of these hunts. He still gets amazed at the memories that come back to him when my dog brings back his birds. I spend the first hour of these mornings setup about 30 yards behind him just watching them and taking it all in. My dog will hunt for whoever has a gun closest to the decoys. Oh, think we had 5 points going into this year.

Last year we were picked but the place was flooded and the hunt was cancelled. Got a letter in the mail saying, sorry and to apply next year (this year) and we'd get picked . We did. This was the case with a lot of others I presume.
