    Default Lake Marion Strippers

    Anyone been having any luck?

I went Saturday but never saw any schooling.

Water temp was 68 so hopefully we will get cool weather soon!

    I caught one on Saturday.

Never saw them come up either.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

They were schooling in mornings and evenings out from Rocks Pond. They seemed to have quit for now. My buddy caught 40 one afternoon 3 weeks ago.

It’s no secret they are in the creeks now. I fish two down rods and two free lines out the back with shad.

I could care less about the limit. Wouldn't keep many if any. Just love catching them. Do you buy or catch bait?

Don Drose sells shad 2 dozen for $5 on Hwy 260. It’s 5 mins from the house and it’s worth it in time saved.

All 7 today were between 24.5 to 25.5 8-10lbs except the last pic was a short fish.

I was fishing in 14 - 15ft of water I was putting them down just above where I marked the fish on the depth finder. Today all the fish caught came off free lines w/ planer boards except one. Had a few hits on down rods but only one hook up.

No, but I was curious. I can't get them to hit spoons or swim baits deeper than 15 ft. I was wondering if he could get a deeper bite with live bait.

I caught 30-40 last week schooling, but nothing over 6 lbs.
