Banded and Avery have really gone down hill. Customer service has been slack, quality of products has gone down from years ago. I bought a pair of wader this year just because it was the easiest option at the time. They lasted one hunt, the second hunt the leg protection on both legs ripped off.

I get you really just want to argue or pick shit apart, but it’s like a wool sweater.....it’s warm, but not waterproof. Of course you know that, but still to want to pick it apart.

Yea I don’t wear their waders anymore, but that hoodie is the jam. My waders only lasted a season and I just went back to cabelas neoprene.

I have an old Filson coat that I use as a shell and I layer accordingly.

Best I've owned is a Herters 3-n-1 wader jacket. It's getting some age on it, but still keeps me dry. I bought a new one from Cabela's last year, or year before, thinking I might as well go ahead and get a new one. I really don't care for it.

The redesigned Dakota Hoody is very nice. Little more water resistant and they made it to fit a little slimmer instead of having that flared feeling on the bottom of the jacket.

Put if you want waterproof then the Delta Wading jacket with the right layers underneath it.

Sooo.... I ordered the Filson. It is extremely well put together. Has some sorta reinforcement on the elbows. It’s more of a shell and will need some wool or fleece under it. I’m typically an XL but the XL was a little big. Only thing I didn’t like was there is no place to slide your hands in.

I have the same and wear a Beretta Windstop wool sweater underneath. Perfect combination.

I also have a Filson Guide sweater and grab the Beretta every time, FWIW.

My wool Beretta Sweater has the windstopper lining. It's a damned fine garment under a grease coat.
