    Default New Hunting Rifle

The good folks over at Geronimo Gunworks spun this up for me.

    Curtis Customs Axiom
Proof Research 16.5” light Palma chambered in 6.5x47L
    Leupold VX5HD 3-15x56
    Bell and Carlson Mountain stock
    Magpul BDM
    Rifle Basix trigger
    Rugged 7.62 Razor

Probably gonna swap out the rings and trigger after deer season and have it cerakoted.

    Damnit that’s a sexy beast
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

They don't put Championship rings on smooth hands

Not bad for a hunting rifle, it should work.

    So far so good.

A little distortion on the edges at 3x but it’s expected in an SFP with a non etched reticle. Taking a little while to get used to a duplex. Haven’t used one in 9-10 years.

    Nice one.

How do you like the Curtis? Deciding between that or a bighorn for a switch barrel deal, since everybody makes pre-fits for both these days.

Depends on what kinda pre fits you want.

The Curtis is an awesome action. I love the 60 degree throw.

You can’t go wrong with either action. Bighorn takes savage TPI so shouldered or barrel nut. Curtis is rem TPI so shouldered or Remage style.

Yep, will go the shouldered route either way. Hard to go wrong, as you say. Nice rig, I dig it.

That thing is sweet. I bet you could kill a deer at 200 yards with that thing.

Would have rather popped it’s cherry with a nice buck but this nasty little pig will do.

90 yds quartering to me slightly. 140gr eld m at 2550 ended her where she stood.
