    Default Bipod

I'm in the market for a cheap but durable bipod to go on a Ruger American .243 can anyone recommend one over the other?

Also will the weight of the bipod flex the stock any? Stock is cheap plastic and the only reason I own the gun is I picked it up for next to nothing, plan is to restock with a Boyds thumbhole soon.

If it ain\'t accurate at long distance, then the fact that it is flat shooting is meaningless.

Harris bipods look like a prototype that was never completed. External springs are about as ugly as aerial powerlines in a neighborhood.

The function of a bipod isn't complicated. I've got a couple cheapo brands that have all the functionality required of a bipod but look more like a finished product. I've got a cheapo that may have come with a Ruger 10/22 that has notched legs, swivel base, picatinny rail and sling stud mount, no external exposed springs, rubber feet or pointy spikes.
