i'm gonna need a minute alone with that....
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.
Serious question. If you're hunting from a climber and are tethered in with a safety harness, the stand and the tether/harness both have to fail for you to go to the ground. It seems like with the saddle, only the tether has to fail for you to fall. Is there a way to create some redundancy? Thanks

I just tie my dick around the tree.
From what I've seen, the newfangled tree saddles have a wide ass strap that is gentler on your vulva. A rock climbing harness wouldn't be comfortable for any length of time. They don't have any more support/surface area than a traditional safety harness.
I tried one of the early models of saddles about a hundred years ago when they first came out. There was no platform to go with it. Unless they now have some sort of rigid seat, like a playground swing, that doesn't tend to smush your hips inward, I would not be able to sit still enough to hunt in one.
Your tether, bridge and carabiners are all climbing grade. No need for redundancy unless your ropes are in bad shape or your carabiners aren't a high enough grade. I'm much safer in a saddle. No way to fall out and if you slip or step off your stick or platform you just step back on because you already have tension and can't fall.
So, are you sitting side saddle
