I pay around $600 a year for food plot planting not including seed and fertilizer.
$5000/$600 = 8.33 years before I would recoup my money on a $5000 tractor/implement investment.
Just call JIR land services who is a sponsor on here. My $.02

New Holland makes a narrow cab tractor. I know a peach farmer who bought one for his orchards.
My JD has "power reverser" which is what lablvr described. I was told it is different from "shuttle shift". It has a forward-neutral-reverse shifter on the left side of the column. It is especially nice when using the bucket or grapple. You don't even have to use the clutch to go from forward to reverse. The only downside I've found is that I reach for the blinker to shift when I get back in my truck.
I don't think any amount of added weight will make a 2 wheel drive pull as well as 4 wheel drive. I also think 4 wheel drive is extremely desirable if you add a loader.

Not mine but that tractor is all you need and price isnt bad.
Saw a good looking ford on hwy 6 just inside Calhoun county on left. Not sure price or size but would be all you need.

You can do small jobs with a big tractor but you can't do big jobs with a small tractor. Besides that a tractor is like a pecker. Every man wants a bigger one.
