I’m starting to see more groups across the evening sky.

Think how blessed you are to have a pond at work, where you can watch ducks?

Best I get are school yard retention pond geese

Although I did 5 scaup on a pond in Mount Pleasant today.

Scouting yesterday and the spot I’m hunting next weekend was holding a large group of teal. They will be gone before I get a chance.

Leaving North Dakota now. It's cold and everything is frozen until spring. Lots of birds headed south.

Groups of ringnecks showed up last week. A few mallards in wood duck swamps. Of course hundreds of wood ducks from the deer stand.

I don't know dick about the patterns of a duck, but curious to the thought on what this cold front/full moon/cold ass weather does to the ducks. Are the ones that are here picking up and hauling ass, to be replaced by more coming in? The ones that are here, sticking around and we are getting ready to get a bunch of them around? I just try to shoot a few wood ducks in the beaver swamp, so know we aren't going to get a big "migration" in these parts, but learn me please?

I spied some big ducks mixed in with the woodies last night headed to roost. First I've seen so far.

Yes. Migration and Women are alike.

We have as many as I’ve ever seen for this early in AR. Temps will moderate a little but stay cold which means things are setting up nicely as long as it doesn’t rain to much
