    Great story and buck. I gotta learn from this. Stuff like that was invented by some twisted force just for me...and you, apparently. I’d have gone thru 10 scenarios in my head and then 30 minutes later, I’d have climbed down, found my bloody arrow, tracked him “just a little ways” to see what the blood trail looked like, bumped his ass to the next county, and spent rest of the day and the next on a futile tracking job. Excellent job by you staying in that tree. Congrats.

    That arrow deflecting was wild. And with the telephone poles you shoot just shows anything can happen. He was just meant to die that day.

    Incredible story and hunt! ive had similar results with the simmons heads before. Shot a broadside doe behind the shoulder and the arrow exited out of the brisket. 90 degrees to the right.
