Default Saint Berdoodle lab or golden doodle?

Anyone have any insight or know of any breeders? I’ve had Labs my whole life and after most recent passed at 14yrs in ‘16, looking to get the kids a dog and I need a companion (wife + 2 daughters in my house).. My compromise would be one of the doodle breeds due to low maintenance,no shedding, obligatory house dog...was leaning toward lab or golden ddle but wife stuck on St. Bernard doodle..ant direction on those or even golden, lab doodle greatly appreciated..

Don’t believe that shit about no shedding. My buddy has one and he told me it’s worst than a lab.

I believe I would teach the children to vacuum and get a real lab.

Pit Boodles won’t shed but they will eat your children’s face.

Low maintenance my ass. My parents have a 13 month old golden doodle. That damn yuppie thing has to have its hair cut about every 4-6 weeks. Alot of them them allergies to certain foods just like any dogs can. Theirs is allergic to everything and i mean everything. Besides all that shes a great dog. Pretty well mannered and does not shed at all. I actually looked at getting one because my daughter is allergic to dog saliva but we ended up going back with a yellow lab. They got theirs at Downtown Doodles in Greenville. I actually know 4-5 people with dogs from them. The level of shedding has to do if they are a F1, F2 doodle. It all has to do with the breeding. Good luck. Also look at Aussie Doodles they are pretty cool looking also.

My brother in laws labradoodle sheds like crazy, as much as my old lab. He’s a great dog but he’s a horse. Close to darn near 100 lbs and not even a year old. You should do your family a favor and get a Boykin.

Dang the elitists. I prefer mutts over purebreds.

But to think that any breed ending in "doodle" don't shed is just silly. Do your homework on the parents.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

My daughter has a labradoodle and it doesn't shed. She also has a standard full-blood poodle. Standard poodles are just labs with good hair. They don't shed a bit - not even a hair.
