Champ said he could move around but not well enough to protect himself from dirty UGA players.

So you haven’t seen the play that took him out?
    Tyler Simmons wasn’t offsides. 1-9-2018
Isaiah Bond didn’t catch the ball. 12-2-2023

A buddy who claims to be “ in the know” says he’s out 2-4 weeks with an MCL injury. Take that for what it’s worth. I hope not.

If that is true has he already played in too many games to redshirt

Why was he in a brace? Does he have a previous injury?

    Hope he’s ok.

Depending on how bad an mcl sprain is, you can play with a brace. MCL doesn’t typically require surgery. I had a 2nd degree tear years ago, no knife and was playing again within 90 days. Probably could have come back sooner, but it was summer and didn’t need too. Been there done that.

I heard on the post game show a couple weeks ago that he wore the knee brace as a preventative measure. The planted front leg on the blindside of a QB is vulnerable.

Had he not been wearing it, he would not have walked off the field.

All the lineman seem to wear em as well. I can only imagine the stress of carrying around 300+lbs, while fighting off other 300lb guys.

He was already beat up a bit before the game and had a noticeable limp prior to the injury. The brace likely saved him a serious injury.

It was a JOKE. Lighten up Francis.

No way I wish ANYONE a season ending injury. I actually enjoyed watching him try and cheer with ice pack on from sideline Got to love a kid with heart like that.

    Glad nothing serious.
