Default Prayers for 5th grade student at Concord Elementary in Anderson

We got news today that a 5th grader was swinging at recess and some how came out of the swing and landed on the ground very hard. Child has broken arm but was also not responsive and had to be air lifted to Greenville Hospital.

I just got an update from our Asst Superintendent and all I can say is the child and parents could really use your thoughts and prayers right now

    Thanks.

Prayers sent for a full recovery

Not to make light is the situation but I remember as kids we used to jump on purpose and try to land on our feet and sometime would try to cut a flip

Geez. That's awful. Just a kid having fun. Hope they make a full recovery.

The swings at my elementary school had maybe 10' chains connected to probably 18" of 2x8 lumber seats. I saw a few kids get clocked by them but never anything worse than teeth knocked out. Its surprising it took so long for people to figure out how to make swings safer.

Prayers to the young kid. I hope he's at school tomorrow getting his cast signed.

It didn't take us that long to figure it out, just don't think anyone cared. We rode in the front seat without boosters or seat belts. We rode bikes without helmets, bottle rocket wars under the Pinewood Rd bridge where it crossed the railroad tracks and all that stuff.

Despite our best efforts to kill ourselves we didn't. Prayers for this young lad and his family.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Prayers for a speedy recovery, and no permanent damage.
