    Default Dog Club fun

Great Saturday running dogs. The hounds ran quite well as dry as it’s been. Ended up with 3-8pts 1-9pt and a doe. This is the very same club my grandpa introduced me to dog hunting some 25 year ago and I connected with a nice 8pt pitching across a cutover with 2 hounds pouring it on him on the first drive. This was the first I’d killed since his passing back in February was a special time for me with lots of memories running through my mind. He would call every Saturday wanting to know how dogs ran what was killed and if I seen anything. I really missed that call heading back to Spartanburg Saturday evening had a great story to tell him. Here are a few pics of the fun enjoy!

And I’m with you on missing that phone call.

Saturday afternoon as I was heading to skin the two I killed I was really wishing I could still call my uncle and tell him I was stopping by and had something to show him.

Great day- keep the drive alive-pass it on to your kids. Nothing beats the camaraderie and excitement of a great dog drive.
